Green before “Going Green” was Cool
Sustainability is always at the forefront of our minds. We, at Volk Packaging Corporation, were green before “going green” was cool. For the last 50 years, we have recaptured and recycled corrugated. Our commitment to sustainable practices goes beyond corrugated. We recycle water and plastic products used in manufacturing. We use non-chemical water-based inks in the printing of all our boxes.
Corrugated manufacturers have a long history of efforts focused on the sustainability of our raw materials, products, and processes. Corrugated remains the most recycled packaging material on earth, at a rate of more than 95%.
In 2020, Volk Packaging was able to save roughly 14,700 trees by recycling 588.5 tons of corrugated!
Sustainability Certifications: We are proud to offer corrugated packaging certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
Supershield: An environmentally responsible alternative to wax-coated corrugated that is 100% FDA and CFIA approved.
